A little history of the city.
Also called Jullouville-les-Pins, the charming town of Jullouville is located 8 km from Granville.
In the 15th century, it was a town dedicated to fishing, still visible today but unused.
In 1882, Armand Jullou, councillor of Saint-Michel-des-Loups, decided to build a seaside resort. He makes the plans with circular avenues starting from the Casino and a promenade by the sea.
A great place to recharge your batteries.
If you like the sea and the countryside, Jullouville offers impressive cliffs that change tones with the seasons. Enjoying a relatively mild climate, the walker can admire palm trees, mimosas and other exotic plants that beautify parks and gardens. There is a large fine sandy beach in Jullouville that stretches for 2 km. This charming seaside town has kept all its authenticity with its bathing cabins and its long pedestrian walk along the seafront. The practice of sand yachting has become a tradition. We also come there for fishing on foot.
Summer activities:
On July 31, August 7, 14 and 21, if you are with your family, enjoy the show "Les loups seront là" presented by the company Les baladins de la Vallée d'Argent. This show will be followed by a debate and meeting with the public on the theme of biodiversity.
Wednesday 1 st August at 8:30pm free admission: You will also have the chance to listen to a concert of classical music. On the programme Moussorgski, Dvorak, Bach, Vivaldi...
Tuesday 7th August: Enjoy the open air cinema at the casino beach from 10pm. You will see the film Jappeloup : The Story of Pierre Durand interpreted by Guillaume Canet, who abandons his career as a lawyer to make his dream come true: show jumping.
