Discover the beach at Carolles

A kilometre-long, gently sloping beach of fine sand on the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel

Considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Granville and the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel, the beach at Carolles is a peaceful seaside resort offering great walking opportunities.

Carolles Beach is anchored at the foot of the cliff. It is an extension of the vast Jullouville beach, which is bordered to the south by the Carolles cliffs.

It's an ideal beach for swimming and relaxing. You can also take a trip through the rocks, or fish for prawns on the waves.

Along the seawall, take time to admire the line of bathing cabins. It's a reminder of how popular this part of the Channel coast was at the beginning of the 19th century, when sea bathing was all the rage.

Access and practical information for Carolles beach

You can easily access the beach via the slipway (with assistance available for people with reduced mobility).

Parking is available just 50m from the beach.
During the summer season, the beach is supervised.
Dogs are not allowed from 15 June to 15 September.

For a break between swims, you will find various shops such as cafés and restaurants directly on the square in Carolles-Plage.
