Poiré Museum in Barenton

Let yourself be carried away by a stay at Villa les Dunes to discover the Poiré Museum in Barenton.

Do you know the Poiré? This fermented pear juice will surprise more than one!

The charm of a building and the flavour of a drink

Situated near Barenton, the Poiré Museum is a friendly place where you can practice the transformation of pears from the orchard to the pear juice called Poiré.

This museum, the only one of its kind in France, has been housed since 1983 in an old farmhouse typical of the Normandy bocage. Only 1 hour from Villa les Dunes, discover the hundred or so varieties of pears and apples from the orchard as well as a collection of historical tools for distilling Poiré.

A playful course is set up to captivate children. All year round, activities, exhibitions and workshops are presented in this wonderful site of Poiré in Normandy.

And to continue your tasting at home, the shop sells local farm products at the end of your visit.
